Ameland 2001. At the quite and dull isle Ameland during the winterperiod, two friends are sitting at the bar, drinking a beer. It was a beer-feastday (getting 2 for the prise of one!) so it didn't last long before weird idea's came at the surface. For instance the idea to start a band. Rather drunk they searched for two more guy's, namely a singer and a guitarman who could play the bass and see...their band was created! The whole idea to start a band seemed to disappear in the fridge but only one week later a phonecall was made and thát afternoon the Pinheadz where born. One problem only: no one could play, not even a bit...

Still they persisted. A place to rehearse was found and instruments where purchased. For months they rehearsed and in June they where ready for there first presentation. At first mostly coversongs from The Ramones, Misfits and De Heideroosjes but more and more songs of there own. It all went well... lots of practicing and now and again a presentation.

Late 2003 the bass-guitarman choosed to quit the band. He had so many other hobby's and he couldn't combine all of his activities. The more while the band becam more and more seriously. And so the band proceeded as a three-man formation. It all speeded up a bit and only selfwroten songs where on the setlist (accept for 1 Ramones-cover) and a maxi-single was recorded. More and more presentations, as well on the isle as in the rest of the Netherlands and even a few times abroad.

In 2005 the main thing was creating new songs so we could record an album. Of course we also had several shows and the numbers where growing. At the beginning of 2006 it's finaly coming to recording the album "OUT OF CONTROL". This CD was released at the 30e June.

The Pinheadz have build on their reputation and they now are known for their energetic live shows in combination with wrong humour and there critical lyrics of society. They introduced "Waddenpunk" and they give all they've got. And the thing is... it's only getting more and more wicked...
